2 Kings · Chapter 24
In his days Nebuchadnezzar king of Bavel came up, and Jehoiakim became his servant three years: then he turned and rebelled against him.
And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) sent against him bands of the Chaldees, and bands of the Syrians, and bands of the Moabites, and bands of the children of Ammon, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH), which he spake by his servants the nevi'im.
Surely at the mitsvah of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) came
this upon Judah, to remove
them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did;
And also for the innocent blood that he shed: for he filled Yerushalayim with innocent blood; which 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) would not pardon.
Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and all that he did,
are
they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
So Jehoiakim slept with his fathers: and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead.
And the king of Mitsrayim came not again any more out of his land: for the king of Bavel had taken from the river of Mitsrayim unto the river Euphrates all that pertained to the king of Mitsrayim.
Jehoiachin
was eighteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned in Yerushalayim three months. And his mother’s name
was
Nehushta, the daughter of Elnathan of Yerushalayim.
And he did
that which was evil in the sight of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH), according to all that his father had done.
At that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Bavel came up against Yerushalayim, and the city was besieged.
And Nebuchadnezzar king of Bavel came against the city, and his servants did besiege it.
And Jehoiachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Bavel, he, and his mother, and his servants, and his princes, and his officers: and the king of Bavel took him in the eighth year of his reign.
And he carried out thence all the treasures of the house of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH), and the treasures of the king’s house, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold which Shelomoh king of Yisra'el had made in the heikhal of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH), as 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) had said.
And he carried away all Yerushalayim, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valour,
even ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and smiths: none remained, save the poorest sort of the people of the land.
And he carried away Jehoiachin to Bavel, and the king’s mother, and the king’s wives, and his officers, and the mighty of the land,
those
carried he into captivity from Yerushalayim to Bavel.
And all the men of might,
even seven thousand, and craftsmen and smiths a thousand, all
that were strong
and apt for war, even them the king of Bavel brought captive to Bavel.
And the king of Bavel made Mattaniah his father’s brother king in his stead, and changed his name to Zedekiah.
Zedekiah
was twenty and one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Yerushalayim. And his mother’s name
was
Hamutal, the daughter of Yirmeyahu of Libnah.
And he did
that which was evil in the sight of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH), according to all that Jehoiakim had done.
For through the anger of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) it came to pass in Yerushalayim and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Bavel.

Melakhim Bet25
2 Kings · Chapter 25
And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth
day of the month,
that Nebuchadnezzar king of Bavel came, he, and all his host, against Yerushalayim, and pitched against it; and they built forts against it round about.
And the city was besieged unto the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.
And on the ninth
day of the
fourth month the famine prevailed in the city, and there was no bread for the people of the land.
And the city was broken up, and all the men of war
fled by night by the way of the gate between two walls, which
is by the king’s garden: (now the Chaldees
were against the city round about:) and
the king went the way toward the plain.
And the army of the Chaldees pursued after the king, and overtook him in the plains of Yericho: and all his army were scattered from him.
So they took the king, and brought him up to the king of Bavel to Riblah; and they gave judgment upon him.
And they slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and put out the eyes of Zedekiah, and bound him with fetters of brass, and carried him to Bavel.
And in the fifth month, on the seventh
day of the month, which
is the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadnezzar king of Bavel, came Nebuzar-adan, captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Bavel, unto Yerushalayim:
And he burnt the house of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH), and the king’s house, and all the houses of Yerushalayim, and every great
man’s house burnt he with fire.
And all the army of the Chaldees, that
were with the captain of the guard, brake down the walls of Yerushalayim round about.
Now the rest of the people
that were left in the city, and the fugitives that fell away to the king of Bavel, with the remnant of the multitude, did Nebuzar-adan the captain of the guard carry away.
But the captain of the guard left of the poor of the land
to be
vinedressers and husbandmen.
And the pillars of brass that
were in the house of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH), and the bases, and the brasen sea that
was in the house of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH), did the Chaldees break in pieces, and carried the brass of them to Bavel.
And the pots, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass wherewith they ministered, took they away.
And the firepans, and the bowls,
and such things as
were of gold,
in gold, and of silver,
in silver, the captain of the guard took away.
The two pillars, one sea, and the bases which Shelomoh had made for the house of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH); the brass of all these vessels was without weight.
The height of the one pillar
was eighteen cubits, and the chapiter upon it
was brass: and the height of the chapiter three cubits; and the wreathen work, and pomegranates upon the chapiter round about, all of brass: and like unto these had the second pillar with wreathen work.
And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief kohen, and Zephaniah the second kohen, and the three keepers of the door:
And out of the city he took an officer that was set over the men of war, and five men of them that were in the king’s presence, which were found in the city, and the principal scribe of the host, which mustered the people of the land, and threescore men of the people of the land
that were found in the city:
And Nebuzar-adan captain of the guard took these, and brought them to the king of Bavel to Riblah:
And the king of Bavel smote them, and slew them at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was carried away out of their land.
And
as for the people that remained in the land of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Bavel had left, even over them he made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, ruler.
And when all the captains of the armies, they and their men, heard that the king of Bavel had made Gedaliah governor, there came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, even Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan the son of Careah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth the Netophathite, and Jaazaniah the son of a Maachathite, they and their men.
And Gedaliah sware to them, and to their men, and said unto them, Fear not to be the servants of the Chaldees: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Bavel; and it shall be well with you.
But it came to pass in the seventh month, that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the seed royal, came, and ten men with him, and smote Gedaliah, that he died, and the Jews and the Chaldees that were with him at Mizpah.
And all the people, both small and great, and the captains of the armies, arose, and came to Mitsrayim: for they were afraid of the Chaldees.
And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the seven and twentieth
day of the month,
that Evil-merodach king of Bavel in the year that he began to reign did lift up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah out of prison;
And he spake kindly to him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that
were with him in Bavel;
And changed his prison garments: and he did eat bread continually before him all the days of his life.
And his allowance
was a continual allowance given him of the king, a daily rate for every day, all the days of his life.

Yesha'yahu1
Isaiah · Chapter 1
The vision of Yesha'yahu the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Yerushalayim in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz,
and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
Hear, O shamayim, and give ear, O earth: for 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.
The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master’s crib:
but
Yisra'el doth not know, my people doth not consider.
Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH), they have provoked the Holy One of Yisra'el unto anger, they are gone away backward.
Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.
From the sole of the foot even unto the head
there is no soundness in it;
but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.
Your country
is desolate, your cities
are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and
it is
desolate, as overthrown by strangers.
And the daughter of Tsiyon is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city.
Except 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom,
and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.
Hear the word of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH), ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the torah of our Elohim, ye people of Gomorrah.
To what purpose
is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH): I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.
When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?
Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with;
it is
iniquity, even the solemn meeting.
Your new moons and your appointed feasts my nephesh hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear
them.
And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.
Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;
Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.
Come now, and let us reason together, saith 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH): though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) hath spoken
it.
How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers.
Thy silver is become dross, thy wine mixed with water:
Thy princes
are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them.
Therefore saith the master, 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) of hosts, the mighty One of Yisra'el, Ah, I will ease me of mine adversaries, and avenge me of mine enemies:
And I will turn my hand upon thee, and purely purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin:
And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city.
Tsiyon shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.
And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners
shall be together, and they that forsake 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) shall be consumed.
For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which ye have desired, and ye shall be confounded for the gardens that ye have chosen.
For ye shall be as an oak whose leaf fadeth, and as a garden that hath no water.
And the strong shall be as tow, and the maker of it as a spark, and they shall both burn together, and none shall quench
them.
