Exodus · Chapter 5
And afterward Mosheh and Aharon went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) Elohim of Yisra'el, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness.
And Pharaoh said, Who
is 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH), that I should obey his voice to let Yisra'el go? I know not 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH), neither will I let Yisra'el go.
And they said, The Elohim of the Hebrews hath met with us: let us go, we pray thee, three days’ journey into the desert, and sacrifice unto 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) our Elohim; lest he fall upon us with pestilence, or with the sword.
And the king of Mitsrayim said unto them, Wherefore do ye, Mosheh and Aharon, let the people from their works? get you unto your burdens.
And Pharaoh said, Behold, the people of the land now
are many, and ye make them rest from their burdens.
And Pharaoh commanded the same day the taskmasters of the people, and their officers, saying,
Ye shall no more give the people straw to make brick, as heretofore: let them go and gather straw for themselves.
And the tale of the bricks, which they did make heretofore, ye shall lay upon them; ye shall not diminish
ought thereof: for they
be
idle; therefore they cry, saying, Let us go
and sacrifice to our Elohim.
Let there more work be laid upon the men, that they may labour therein; and let them not regard vain words.
And the taskmasters of the people went out, and their officers, and they spake to the people, saying, Thus saith Pharaoh, I will not give you straw.
Go ye, get you straw where ye can find it: yet not ought of your work shall be diminished.
So the people were scattered abroad throughout all the land of Mitsrayim to gather stubble instead of straw.
And the taskmasters hasted
them, saying, Fulfil your works,
your daily tasks, as when there was straw.
And the officers of the children of Yisra'el, which Pharaoh’s taskmasters had set over them, were beaten,
and demanded, Wherefore have ye not fulfilled your task in making brick both yesterday and to day, as heretofore?
Then the officers of the children of Yisra'el came and cried unto Pharaoh, saying, Wherefore dealest thou thus with thy servants?
There is no straw given unto thy servants, and they say to us, Make brick: and, behold, thy servants
are beaten; but the fault
is in thine own people.
But he said, Ye
are idle,
ye are idle: therefore ye say, Let us go
and do sacrifice to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH).
Go therefore now,
and work; for there shall no straw be given you, yet shall ye deliver the tale of bricks.
And the officers of the children of Yisra'el did see
that they
were in evil
case, after it was said, Ye shall not minish
ought from your bricks of your daily task.
And they met Mosheh and Aharon, who stood in the way, as they came forth from Pharaoh:
And they said unto them, 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) look upon you, and judge; because ye have made our savour to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to slay us.
And Mosheh returned unto 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH), and said, master, wherefore hast thou
so evil entreated this people? why
is it
that
thou hast sent me?
For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name, he hath done evil to this people; neither hast thou delivered thy people at all.

Exodus · Chapter 6
Then 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) said unto Mosheh, Now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land.
And Elohim spake unto Mosheh, and said unto him, I
am 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH):
And I appeared unto Avraham, unto Yitschaq, and unto Ya'aqov, by
the name of Elohim Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.
And I have also established my b'rit with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, wherein they were strangers.
And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Yisra'el, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered my b'rit.
Wherefore say unto the children of Yisra'el, I
am 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH), and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments:
And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a Elohim: and ye shall know that I
am 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) your Elohim, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.
And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning the which I did swear to give it to Avraham, to Yitschaq, and to Ya'aqov; and I will give it you for an heritage: I
am 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH).
And Mosheh spake so unto the children of Yisra'el: but they hearkened not unto Mosheh for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage.
And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) spake unto Mosheh, saying,
Go in, speak unto Pharaoh king of Mitsrayim, that he let the children of Yisra'el go out of his land.
And Mosheh spake before 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH), saying, Behold, the children of Yisra'el have not hearkened unto me; how then shall Pharaoh hear me, who
am
of uncircumcised lips?
And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) spake unto Mosheh and unto Aharon, and gave them a charge unto the children of Yisra'el, and unto Pharaoh king of Mitsrayim, to bring the children of Yisra'el out of the land of Mitsrayim.

when 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) spake unto Mosheh in the land of Mitsrayim,
That 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) spake unto Mosheh, saying, I
am 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH): speak thou unto Pharaoh king of Mitsrayim all that I say unto thee.
And Mosheh said before 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH), Behold, I
am of uncircumcised lips, and how shall Pharaoh hearken unto me?

Exodus · Chapter 7
And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) said unto Mosheh, See, I have made thee a elohim to Pharaoh: and Aharon thy brother shall be thy navi.
Thou shalt speak all that I command thee: and Aharon thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he send the children of Yisra'el out of his land.
And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Mitsrayim.
But Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you, that I may lay my hand upon Mitsrayim, and bring forth mine armies,
and my people the children of Yisra'el, out of the land of Mitsrayim by great judgments.
And the Egyptians shall know that I
am 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH), when I stretch forth mine hand upon Mitsrayim, and bring out the children of Yisra'el from among them.
And Mosheh and Aharon did as 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) commanded them, so did they.
And Mosheh
was fourscore years old, and Aharon fourscore and three years old, when they spake unto Pharaoh.
And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) spake unto Mosheh and unto Aharon, saying,
When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying, Shew a miracle for you: then thou shalt say unto Aharon, Take thy rod, and cast
it before Pharaoh,
and it shall become a serpent.
And Mosheh and Aharon went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) had commanded: and Aharon cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent.
Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Mitsrayim, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.
For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aharon’s rod swallowed up their rods.
And he hardened Pharaoh’s heart, that he hearkened not unto them; as 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) had said.
And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) said unto Mosheh, Pharaoh’s heart
is hardened, he refuseth to let the people go.
Get thee unto Pharaoh in the morning; lo, he goeth out unto the water; and thou shalt stand by the river’s brink against he come; and the rod which was turned to a serpent shalt thou take in thine hand.
And thou shalt say unto him, 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) Elohim of the Hebrews hath sent me unto thee, saying, Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness: and, behold, hitherto thou wouldest not hear.
Thus saith 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH), In this thou shalt know that I
am 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH): behold, I will smite with the rod that
is in mine hand upon the waters which
are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.
And the fish that
is in the river shall die, and the river shall stink; and the Egyptians shall lothe to drink of the water of the river.
And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) spake unto Mosheh, Say unto Aharon, Take thy rod, and stretch out thine hand upon the waters of Mitsrayim, upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water, that they may become blood; and
that there may be blood throughout all the land of Mitsrayim, both in
vessels of wood, and in
vessels of stone.
And Mosheh and Aharon did so, as 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that
were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that
were
in the river were turned to blood.
And the fish that
was in the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink of the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Mitsrayim.
And the magicians of Mitsrayim did so with their enchantments: and Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, neither did he hearken unto them; as 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) had said.
And Pharaoh turned and went into his house, neither did he set his heart to this also.
And all the Egyptians digged round about the river for water to drink; for they could not drink of the water of the river.
And seven days were fulfilled, after that 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) had smitten the river.
