Psalms · Chapter 49
Hear this, all
ye people; give ear, all
ye inhabitants of the world:
Both low and high, rich and poor, together.
My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart
shall be of understanding.
I will incline mine ear to a parable: I will open my dark saying upon the harp.
Wherefore should I fear in the days of evil,
when the iniquity of my heels shall compass me about?
They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches;
None
of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to Elohim a ransom for him:
(For the redemption of their nephesh
is precious, and it ceaseth for ever:)
That he should still live for ever,
and not see corruption.
For he seeth
that wise men die, likewise the fool and the brutish person perish, and leave their wealth to others.
Their inward thought
is, that their houses
shall continue for ever,
and their dwelling places to all generations; they call
their lands after their own names.
Nevertheless man
being in honour abideth not: he is like the beasts
that perish.
This their way
is their folly: yet their posterity approve their sayings. Selah.
Like sheep they are laid in the grave; death shall feed on them; and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; and their beauty shall consume in the grave from their dwelling.
But Elohim will redeem my nephesh from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah.
Be not thou afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased;
For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him.
Though while he lived he blessed his nephesh: and
men will praise thee, when thou doest well to thyself.
He shall go to the generation of his fathers; they shall never see light.
Man
that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts
that perish.

Psalms · Chapter 50
The mighty Elohim,
even 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH), hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.
Out of Tsiyon, the perfection of beauty, Elohim hath shined.
Our Elohim shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.
He shall call to the shamayim from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.
Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a b'rit with me by sacrifice.
And the shamayim shall declare his righteousness: for Elohim
is
judge himself. Selah.
Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Yisra'el, and I will testify against thee: I
am Elohim,
even thy Elohim.
I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings,
to have been continually before me.
I will take no bullock out of thy house,
nor he goats out of thy folds.
For every beast of the forest
is mine,
and the cattle upon a thousand hills.
I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field
are mine.
If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world
is
mine, and the fulness thereof.
Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?
Offer unto Elohim thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:
And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.
But unto the wicked Elohim saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or
that thou shouldest take my b'rit in thy mouth?
Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee.
When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers.
Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.
Thou sittest
and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother’s son.
These
things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether
such an one as thyself:
but
I will reprove thee, and set
them in order before thine eyes.
Now consider this, ye that forget Elohim, lest I tear
you in pieces, and
there be none to deliver.
Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth
his conversation
aright will I shew the salvation of Elohim.

Psalms · Chapter 51
Have mercy upon me, O Elohim, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin
is ever before me.
Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done
this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest,
and
be clear when thou judgest.
Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden
part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Make me to hear joy and gladness;
that the bones
which
thou hast broken may rejoice.
Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.
Create in me a clean heart, O Elohim; and renew a right spirit within me.
Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy ruach haqodesh from me.
Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me
with thy
free spirit.
Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.
Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O Elohim, thou Elohim of my salvation:
and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.
O master, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.
For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give
it: thou delightest not in burnt offering.
The sacrifices of Elohim
are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O Elohim, thou wilt not despise.
Do good in thy good pleasure unto Tsiyon: build thou the walls of Yerushalayim.
Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.
